At the Center for Private Divorce Settlement, Lemonbar Divorce, we offer a service which will keep your costs to a minimum while providing you with a very personalized, effective, and efficient resolution option. As far as mediation services go, we offer very competitive rates for our services. Most of our clients are able to complete their entire divorce under the following flat fee arrangement of $2,700.

Consultation Fee
Center for Private Divorce Settlement, Lemonbar Divorce, provides a free telephone consultation for each spouse. If both spouses would like to set up an in person consultation prior to commencement of their actual mediation session, we will do so. The fee for that consultation is $200.

Flat Fee
 The sum of $400 is paid for each mediation session. You pay for this as you go. If you were to choose for any reason to end mediation, you owe nothing further.

Once you have come to your final agreement and would like to have the documents prepared, the remainder of the $2700 flat fee is paid. For example, if you had already paid for three mediation sessions at $400 per session you would have paid $1200 and would pay the remaining $1500 of the flat fee in order to finalize your case and have all documents prepared.

The Marital Statement Agreement (MSA) and other final court documents will be prepared after this fee is received. The flat fee of $2,700 includes:

  • Up to three mediation sessions (of two hours per session)*;
  • The first draft of the divorce agreement (MSA)
  • One revised draft of the MSA if necessary; The final signing session;
  • Completion of the required court forms
  • All incidental costs, such as word processing, mailing, photocopying, and long distance phone costs.

* If further mediation sessions are required, the fee is $200 per hour for each hour scheduled beyond the three sessions utilized.

Mediation Sessions
As stated above, the fee for each mediation session is $400, payable at the time that you schedule the session. If you require more than the three mediation sessions which are included in the flat fee above, you pay $400 for each additional session.

Court Filing Fees
$320 is due to the court when the Petition is filed. This check should be made payable to "Clerk of the Superior Court."

Occasional Supplemental Charges
Depending on your circumstances, you may desire that we assist you with additional matters to carry out or enforce your MSA (such as deeds, wage assignments, QDROs, etc.) we will provide you with information regarding such details that may apply to your case at your initial consultation.
